Connect to UCINet Resources

Faculty can connect to UCINet from off campus via the Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPN is software that allows you to connect to on campus-only resources, like the Library, providing encryption protection. An internet connection, UCINetID and password is required for either types of VPN connection below. Using "VPN Client Software" (option #2) and selecting the "Full" connection has several advantages; therefore, is recommended over WebVPN. Once you have connected via VPN you will be able to access all of the resource links on this page.

• PubMed @ UCI

  With CINAHL, PubMed is one of the primary databases for the nursing profession. When using MeSH (Medical Subject Headings), it can be useful to use the subheading "Nursing" rather than using the term "Nursing" (which also maps to breastfeeding)

  One of the primary databases, covering literature specifically written for the nursing and allied health professions.
• PsycInfo
  http://uclibs.org/PID/113588
  When searching PsycInfo for nursing information, it is helpful to combine your topic with the truncated keyword "nurs*"
